Responsible for performing a variety of human resource support functions to include payroll processing and reporting, assisting with the maintaining the HRIS and employee records.


Job Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • AA/AS college degree in a business related discipline, If no degree, 2 years HR experience
  • 1 year related job experience (payroll)

Preferred Education, Certifications & Experience (addition to above):

  • HRIS software skills
  • Payroll experience
  • Experience using Kronos Workforce Ready software a plus

Job Performance Requirements:

  • Knowledge Requirements: wage and hour regulations, payroll processing functions, proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Skills: ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity, ability to work with minimal supervision and high motivation, meet required deadlines, and ability to assist and support others.


Manages the payroll operations for the credit union.

  • Processing employee timesheets in accordance with wage and hour laws and established policies and procedures.
  • Compiles and retains payroll reports consisting of summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
  • Ensures accurate and timely payroll deposits and completion of all payroll related tax forms in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Researches and resolves payroll discrepancies.
  • Reconciles payroll tax related general ledger accounts on a monthly basis for all and researches and resolves any discrepancies.
  • Calculate and distribute quarterly and annual incentive plan opportunities to area managers and compile associated reports.

Oversee and coordinate employee programs and events.

  • Coordinate Annual Service Awards and Family Fair Day
  • Oversee the MOQ/EOQ and EOY/MOY program
  • Administer employee programs: tuition reimbursement and computer lease

Maintain employee records in the HRIS

  • Update employee HRIS records and audit changes for accuracy
  • Scan employment documents
  • Enter and verify new hire information into HRIS
  • Enters disciplinary forms into Abra and prepares weekly discipline report
  • Oversee employee NSF report, prepare disciplines, and follow up with managers
  • Update changes made to the Credit Union issued property spreadsheet (i.e. badges, keys, phones, PCs)

Other Human Resource Responsibilities

  • Assist with performance reviews; quality control to ensure all signatures and ratings are listed, monitor completion
  • Process employment verifications
  • Monitor employee NSF activity; notify as appropriate
  • Process
  • Employee badge replacements (lost/damaged)
  • Coordinate PTO buybacks
  • Prepare PTO verification reminder to exempt staff
